Please fill out the interest form below if you wish to participate with the AUO organization in Fall 2025!

New members interested in joining the AUO Symphony should use the audition materials by clicking the "Download Audition Materials" button below, choosing their respective instruments, and following the directions indicated in the audition packet. Materials should be submitted by Wednesday, August 20, 2025 – 11:59 PM. We will not be holding piano or harp auditions for the 2025-2026 season.

Those interested in playing with the AUO Symphony are required to audition for seating placement. Returning AUO Symphony members who took a semester off do need to resubmit an audition. Those interested in playing with the AUO Chamber Orchestra do not need to audition though are highly encouraged to do so. Auditions are sent using a video link (YouTube, Vimeo,etc) to AUO Music Director, Dr. Jeffrey Klefstad -- cmuauo@gmail.com. Click the "Download Audition Materials" button above, select your respective instrument, and follow the directions provided.

*To all students interested in auditioning for the AUO, please note that we are limited to how many woodwinds we can accommodate for the AUO Symphony Orchestra (e.g., flute and clarinet). Those interested in percussion will be auditioned during rehearsal. Cello and bass players, you are asked to bring your own instruments or pursue renting one before arriving on campus. You are asked to store your own instruments as we do not have the space to store them ourselves.
